This Friday is trial assignment, stay tuned to see if Kody Marcelli's alleged assault case goes to trial.
Marcelli was already on probation for a plea he entered in a DUI case when he racked up this assault charge.
The defense made a offer to reduce the charges to misdemeanors, the People counter offered with felony plea and probation; instead of prison.
Judge Kaleb Cockrum spoke at the bench with attorneys at trial confirmation today. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees spoke privately with alleged victim Gary Harner and then Mr. Rees spoke with Marcelli's attorney Ms. Heidi Wells.
No deal today.
If you have not been regularly following this case on my blog, type in Marcelli's name in the search feature located in the right sidebar on this blog and read upon the shennanigans of hot headed Marcelli junior inside and outside court.
Since a 977 was filed, Marcelli has not been in court to display his attitude inside and outside this courtroom. If this goes to trial, he will be Juan Ferrer #2. We all know how that case turned out the defendant.
