On Friday, March 8, 2019 at approximately 12:50 pm, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the report of a deceased body at Big Lagoon State Park.
Deputies along with officers from the California State Parks arrived on scene and located a severely decomposed body on the beach approximately 4 miles north of the main parking lot. Sheriff Detectives and the Coroner’s Office arrived on scene and the body was retrieved. This investigation is currently ongoing.
