Angel Aubrey told her brother Antone Aubrey she loved him moments before he pulled out a gun says People's witness

The People's first witness to take the stand for murder suspect Antone Aubrey's preliminary hearing for murder was Sophie Blake.

Prior to seeing Antone Aubrey taking off his jacket and seeing a gun, Blake testified in detail about being in downtown Hoopa and by the mini mart and who was with her that day.

According to Blake, a conversation between Angel Aubrey and Antone Aubrey about his kids that started out fine escalated into something more serious.

According to Blake who was standing "10 to 15 feet" away from the Aubreys, Antone Aubrey said , "he loved his kids."

Angel Aubrey was trying to calm Antone Aubrey down. "She was telling him, you are my brother I love you."

Blake said Antone Aubrey's tone of voice sounded like he was mad. Right before she saw him take off his jacket and a gun in his hand, Blake testified she heard Antone Aubrey say, "You ain't gonna talk about my kids like that."

Once she saw the gun,Blake said she grabbed her friend Moses Hurley and  ran towards her aunt's house and asking her aunt to call "the cops" and hearing gunshots,

Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers was very patient in questioning Blake who said she is on an "emotional roller coaster." She refused to take a break telling Judge Christopher Wilson she rather "get this over with."
