Arcata Police Department interim chief Richard Ehle is out of town until Monday. Arcata City Manager Karen Diemer out of the office until Tuesday.
The Justice for David Josiah Lawson page is quiet. I did reach out to Charmaine Lawson to see whether she has been apprised of when the APD investigation will wrap up.
This morning I saw Sgt. Todd Dokweiler at the courthouse at 11 a.m. Then saw DA Chief Investigator Wayne Cox and Investigator Steve Dunn leave the Courthouse 15 minutes later. Both Sgt. Dokweiler and the investigators could be working on anything.
Once the case has been submitted, you can bet the DA will go over it with a powerful magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers. I wouldn't expect any news for a couple weeks, probably the most we'll hear is that the case has been submitted.
