Defense expects it will take four to six months to interview all witnesses in Chris Craft's case; he is charged with the murder of Brandon Brocius

Setting the date for a 602 contested hearing for Chris Craft was scheduled for this afternoon. He is charged with the murder of Brandon Brocius. The co-defendant in that case is his mother Lorna Leen.

Deputy District Attorney Jessica Watson is prosecuting the case. Today, Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling appeaeed in court  for Ms. Watson. Ms. Christina Allbright is representing Craft.

Even though Craft's hearing had been waived by Ms. Allbright at the last hearing, he was in court this afternoon. "How are you?" Ms. Allbright asked him before the case was called.

"It will take four to six months to interview all witnesses and I am getting discovery daily," said Ms. Allbright. "The mother's prelim is set for December 20 and we would need discovery after that hearing."

The People requested dates in April.

Pre-trial is scheduled for April 9. The contested hearing is scheduled for April 16. Judge Joyce Hinrichs said that if a continuance was requested, a written motion would be required.

Only one family member attended today's court hearing on behalf of Brandon Brocius.
