"What is exciting is that Papa and Barkley is betting big on Eureka."

City of Eureka's Rob Holmlund told me:

·       Papa & Barkely has submitted an application for cannabis distribution and manufacturing (non-volatile) at the property that formerly held Kmart.

·       The application was signed by the current property owner, who has owned the property for over ten years.

·       The permit application is likely to go before the Eureka Planning Commission on December 10th.

I also spoke with Jon O'Connor, Chief Compliance officer for the local Papa and Barkley business on 4th street.  He told me due diligence is still being done and the "sale is in escrow". The sale is not complete but if all pans out,"we hope to close escrow by the endof the year.

There will be no volatile manufacturing at the KMart location. Eggrock Holdings is the parent company for the 4th street location. Papa and Barkley is the brand. Papa and Barkley "owns or leases" at least three buildings in Eureka, has 40 employees and hopes to increase that to 100.

"What is exciting is that Papa and Barkley is betting big on Eureka."

John McNellis currently owns the 4325 Broadway property. Screenshots explain that sale. Kelly Martin sold the 122 W. 4th street to Eggrock Holding.
