Sheriff Honsal presented Sgt. Greg Musson the Sheriff's Medal of Valor today

This was in recognition for Sgt. Greg Musson's " heroic efforts to save deputies and civilians from an armed suspect," said Sheriff William Honsal.

Deputy Rose Freixas received the same medal earlier this year for the incident involving Hugo Parral-Aguirre.

This was a part of Humboldt County Sheriff Promotional Ceremony  this morning at the Wharfinger. HCSO recognized new hires and employee promotions, including the promotion of Undersheriff Justin Braud and Captain Bryan Quenell.

    Yeah they like to slap backs but when I reported a grow house on my block they did NOTHING.
