One guy bit another guy's finger during the altercation in the Hwy 254 incident


HCSO PIO Samantha Karges got more information from the deputy regarding the Highway 254 incident.

The call came in around 10 p.m on November 19  It was reported as in as a physical altercation between two males.



"On Nov. 19 at about 10:04 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 2700 block of Highway 254 for the report of a physical altercation in which the two parties were separated. One party was in need of medical attention for what he reported to dispatchers as a “nearly amputated finger”.

Deputies learned that one male subject’s finger had been injured when the other male subject bit him at some point during the altercation.

The subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment for a minor injury to his finger. There was no amputation or fracture of his finger.

The incident is still under investigation. No arrests were made at the time, but the case has been forwarded to the District Attorney for review. If the District Attorney concludes that there is enough evidence to charge for assault and battery, then a warrant will be issued."
