DA has not received any report and high risk parolee Charles Steven Flinn is on a state parole must go list

There were no charges filed today against high risk parolee Charles Steven Flinn who was arrested Friday, November 23.

I have been checking with the D.A.'s office every day and they have not received any report. I have been to the Humboldt County jail twice and jail staff gave me the information that was available.

The only information available is that Flinn was arrested for violation of parole and that he cannot post bail.

Flinn was not on the must go list that is usually available via the jail report.  The D.A.'s office, court records, and jail reports all show a previous case from October 2018.

I was able to get one answer from the jail staff. "There are two must-go lists. A 'county' must-go and a 'State Parole' must-go. Flinn is on the State Parole must-go for today. "

District Attorney Maggie Fleming looked into the matter at my request and told me, "We have not received any report regarding the  Friday arrest you mention. "

"His last case received by this Office is from an arrest on October 18, 2018-we charged him with failure to register and he pled guilty as charged. The Court sentenced him to 2 years probation and 41 days in custody. The jail may have more information on his more recent arrest."
