If clean campaigning is what Leslie Castellano believes in, then she would denounce anonymous hate and other tactics directed towards two of her Ward 1 opponents; she has not so far.

Unlike Leslie Castellano, Hailey Lamb has consistently spoken up against hate tactics. Hailey Lamb did so again about this mailer.

Hailey Lamb is self funded. She is not a part of the local political establishment. She told me she wants this campaign to be about the issues. "I have tried to bigger person in this campaign but I have some horror stories."

She tried to handle another  matter privately with Leslie Castellano.

"One of her supporters called me naive, tone deaf and privileged and so I asked Leslie to try and get her supporter to stop personally insulting me."

Leslie Castellano's response:

Hailey Lamb told me she does not have a campaign manager. I am asking Leslie Castellano to tell me in a comment below or by email who she is referring to in this text. I don't want Leslie Castellano to respond somewhere else. Who is this conservative campaign manager? 

Does Leslie Castellano think Hailey Lamb being fair and speaking up against hate directed at Anthony Mantova is a compliment? By Leslie Castalleno's flawed logic, is Jeannie Breslin running so Natalie Arroyo can win? Is Heidi Messner running so Susan Seaman can win?

Leslie Castellano also asked Hailey Lamb to drop out of the race. Now she is trying to backtrack. Why didn't Leslie Castellano clarify this when my post first came out?

This is a text she sent to Hailey Lamb.

There were others who asked Hailey Lamb to drop out.

"John fram, the head of the union, invited me to coffee to see about endorsing me. But when I got there he told me to drop out of the race because I was too young and that they have already decided to endorse Leslie. I wasn’t even given a chance to speak about the issues.," Hailey Lamb told me.

What was Leslie Castellano doing at a Democrat event ? Hailey Lamb is the endorsed candidate by the Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee.

"She also showed up to the Humboldt Democratic Central Committee banquet, which is meant to honor the democrat of the year and all endorsed candidates and didnt even say hi. I felt that was rude to show up and try to get voters at my event," said Hailey Lamb.

Just like my post on certain HCDCC members endorsing Leslie Castellano, who is not a Democrat, there will be crickets by the usual Democrats and far left who crave power and think they speak for all on the left.

Maybe more anonymous attacks against Hailey Lamb, Anthony Mantova or me from the usual left tools.

The far left has used that tactic in all past elections since 2005. They have a couple of people who use their real names but the rest are anonymous cowards spread misinformation.

Anonymous comments, anonymous blogs, anonymous pages could be anyone.  I challenge those behind these comments, blogs and pages verify who they are. They won't.

This is for anyone, not just the far left. This high school cowardly Humboldt mentality comes from those that have nothing credible or constructive to offer.

In this election, there are certain candidates that have a few established names associated with their campaigns but they also have a lot of grassroots support. The far left has the usual core agitators: Allen McCloskey, Eric Kirk, Tamara McFarland to name a few. The progressives also have money behind certain candidates. Why would they be threatened by a self funded Democrat in Ward 1?

It has been a small group of the far left  and their tools including activist media that discourage who they can from talking to me or anyone else who is not in "their approved leftie" clique and continue to spread false information. Some candidates send press releases out to only certain media; they are the ones biased and unprofessional and by their actions will not represent all of Eureka's citizens.

Most who claim to be right or conservative just vent on Facebook or are fake conservatives playing both sides. The same group of few funders on both sides have polarized the community but they invest no time and money towards anyone working for the People.

Whoever you support, if you don't vote, if you are not getting out the vote for your candidate, you are part of the problem why there has not been change in Eureka for decades.

To the hateful progressive local minority that is behind certain Eureka City Council candidates, anyone who is a Democrat or independent is also lumped in with being Republican or conservative. Maybe most people regardless of politics like to feel safe, walk on streets and visit parks not littered with needles and feces. Maybe most people prefer city council representatives who actually listen to public comment and input.

If Leslie Castalleno  had specifics to offer and an actual platform, she and her supporters wouldn't be threatened by Hailey Lamb or Anthony Mantova. It remains to be seen if Caroline Brooks will be the Arnie Klein of the Ward 1 race.
