Will the Jon Goldberg case for Mr. Russo be what the Jason Arreaga case was for Ms. Holmquist-Wells?

Or what the Kyle Zoellner case was for Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield?

The prosecution was not handed the most air tight case against Jon Goldberg by the Fortuna Police Department.

The few witnesses interviewed by Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm (who is second chair) were better and more helpful to the prosecution.

I have seen Mr. Timm's demeanor and style in the courtroom in other jury trials and seen Mr. Timm win difficult cases. He relates better to the jury. Mr. Timm is focused in his questioning.

Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal's aggressive and repeated questioning of Chad Holub and Timothy Roscoe backfired on him. This haphazard order of witnesses is not helping the case.

Mr. Bernthal's frustration shows on his face in the courtroom.

It maybe the stress of a murder trial but so far, in Bernthal v Russo, the defense is doing a better job.  And, the defense hasn't even presented their case.
