Former court mediator Joe Hale booked into jail to start serving his jail sentence

Former court mediator Joe Hale was booked into the Humboldt County jail yesterday to serve his 280 days in jail for violation of PC 647 (j) (2) criminal invasion of privacy involving the use of a concealed device to record another person's body or undergarments. According to the jail, his release date is 12/21/23. I will have more information on why his release date is less than the full sentence served.

I  did extensive and exclusive coverage of this case starting from breaking news about his arrest. According to Humboldt County court system, a balance of $430 is past due.
