Just as I predicted, Aunna Bollman was booked into jail yesterday

In my August 23 post about attempted terroristic threats suspect Aunna Bollman's failure to appear in court on her two criminal cases, I wrote that given who Bollman has threatened, I am sure she will be arrested as soon as possible. And she was picked up on her bench warrants the next day by Probation. She was booked yesterday on a no bail status.

She has a hearing later this afternoon for one of her civil restraining orders. In this request, you have DA staff, County officials and employees as protected parties.

It is a no brainer that the request to make the TRO permanent should be granted. Will the County still bring up that her supervised release has been terminated and her failure to appear in court on 8/23?

Update after hearing:  The hearing was continued until September 15. Commissioner Fran Greenleaf granted the continuance so Bollman could consult with the Public Defender in her criminal case and see if she can hire an attorney to represent her in the civil case. I doubt any local attorney will take her civil cases given who is involved.

Bollman invoked her 5th amendment right. Fourth District Supervisor Natalie Arroyo is one of the witnesses for the County. The other witness for the hearing is Human Resources Director Zachary O’Hanen whose name is on the petition. Deputy County Counsel Goldy Berger was in court sitting next to him. Clerk, Recorder and Registrar of Voters Juan Pablo Cervantes was there for support as well as Arroyo's husband, Jason Lopiccolo. Some more information will be added after homicide arraignment. Deputy County Counsel Thomas Chapin appeared on the case. There are some logistics about entering 55 parties in the e court system. Humboldt Superior Court Manager Scott Andersen was called in by Commissioner Greenleaf to explain. Deputy Counsel Chapin said that he would talk to the parties and the number could be reduced from 55. Due to the limitations of the system, only 9 parties can be entered for one case. So either individual cases or more cases will need to be filed if the number stays at 55.

Bollman had an outburst and said she has only being out of custody for 6 days and had no access to her cell phone because Fortuna Police Department has it.  Commisioner Greenleaf stopped her and cautioned her not to state any facts on the record without talking to an attorney. I have seen Bollman twice in court now and she seems cogent to me.

Her other civil harassment restraining order request is scheduled for 9/1. The City of Fortuna should just request their hearing be continued to 9/15 and stop wasting court resources with multiple hearings. Criminal cases are scheduled on the same day. In other civil cases, if there are also criminal proceedings. They trail. Bollman is on a no bail hold. There is no threat to the people in these civil restraining orders unless she is released.

She has a warrant surrender scheduled in her two 2023 criminal cases on 10/19 and a disposition reset in her 2022 criminal case on the same day.

I already have other court documents with details on the request and have regularly attended her court hearings.

Bollman was served at the Humboldt County jail.
