Incompetent BOS and County admin, this work could have been done during COVID when building was closed to public

All these courtrooms being closed was not something the public was informed about in the Courthouse modification project that started this week; why?

I wrote in my July post, "As usual, the County could have planned better & been in compliance when the building was closed during COVID without inconveniencing staff, the public and taxpayers."

Maybe if the County wasn't wasting taxpayer money getting sued all the time and fighting unneccesary lawsuits or funding emergencies like their buddies' requests about the Fairgrounds, the public and jurors wouldn't have to deal with less restrooms and one entrance during a busy time. Even during COVID, the County lagged behind the Courts as far as cleaning and supplying hand sanitizer and working sinks with hot water.

During this Courthouse modification project, is the County going to bother cleaning their nasty vents and ventilation system?

My post was on July 29, long before the County released any information, I reported the 4th street entrance, the court mailbox lobby and the Law Library will be temporarily closed August 7 through September 8 to begin the Humboldt County Courthouse 4th Street ADA Modification Project.

When the County released information, more closures. Phase two of this project will consist of interior work at the Fourth St. courthouse entrances. Work for phase two is anticipated to begin on Friday, Sept. 8 and is expected to be completed on Monday, Oct. 9.
