John Chiv: "Our office has 30 days from the time it was received in the Eureka Clerk’s office to complete the signature verification process"

The Elections Office received the Eureka Housing for All petition from the City of Eureka on Tuesday afternoon. I had followed up with Eureka Assistant Manager and City Clerk Pam Powell that morning and she was planning to send the petition over that day.

"Our office has 30 days from the time it was received in the Eureka Clerk’s office to complete the signature verification process," Humboldt Elections Christina Strevey told me. "Since we have other Election duties going on currently it may take the full time. We don’t know at this time."
