Is former Second District Supervisor Estelle Fennell coming back to take her seat back and run against Michelle Bushnell for the next election? I doubt it but that does not mean good ole boys that backed her may not be plotting. Recycled candidates, strategy and funders is all the good ole boys have to offer.
With the Rory Kalin lawsuit, the CJP investigation and the numerous scandals under his watch such as former court mediator Joe Hale, will Humboldt Presiding Judge Gregory Kreis save face and leave with plan B? It is too early to elaborate in this post on the possible options because there are logistics to pull off. It does not matter because his rep and the headlines would follow him. Too many people know him in the legal community know too much even if there was not a single article.
My tipster cautioned me that the information about Estelle is from a semi reliable source. As for Kreis, time will tell but it does not surprise me. How many vacations does he plan to take this year. He barely works. It is better with Assistant Presiding Judge Kelly Neel in charge. Things actually get done.
Election deadlines are not here yet for the March 5 2024 primary but anyone can pull papers or make announcements. Until you file and are qualified , you are just talk around the water cooler. First 2024 election related deadline is September 14.
