Kalin's lawyer wants to "shed further light on the corruption" that is shielding Elvine-Kreis from culpability

I just did a post on June 22 about former Deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin's lawsuit against Humboldt Superior Court Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield. 

In addition to corruption and gamemanship regarding discovery, the filing from Kalin's lawyer states Elvine-Kreis refused to speak with the investigative deputy and asserts that other parties spoke with law enforcement after this denial and they met to get their stories straight.

Mr. Jonathan Hornberger is Kalin's attorney. Mr. Patrik Griego is Elvine-Kreis' attorney. The County is paying an out of area law firm and Ms. Melissa Currier has made appearances for Brownfield and Reavis.

Mendocino County Judge Ann Moorman has read the documents regarding the motion to compel. I am just posting giving  you a sneak preview of two documents. The one from Mr. Hornberger is complete. Mr. Griego's response was very lengthy and so these are some excerpts  elaborating on the response from him in the post I did in July 2020 about the Shasta County Sheriff.

An update from the June 28 case management conference will be added to this post depending on what happens and if there is a ruling.

Another case management conference on 9/12.  Judge Moorman took the matter under submission and is expected to issue a ruling probably within a couple weeks.
