Special meeting of BOS on June 13

Update: Agenda posted. Why a special meeting? Why couldn't all this not have waited until Tuesday? They are discussing Planning Commission appeals and litigation that is already known. What was the emergency? Why couldn't this be discussed at the regular June 14 meeting. The agenda for that meeting is a bigger snorefest than usual.

Closed session for the special meeting  on June 13 has the State lawsuit against the County and Humboldt Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez. The City of Eureka lawsuit against the County and Paz Dominguez.

Of course, the County has not communicated with Paz Dominguez. I have written many times about how much money the County has wasted on litigation, among other poor choices.

And of course, more litigation against the County. The existing litigation against the County from White Circle Commerce, LLC.  Why is this on the agenda? It isn't a new case? Maybe the County wants to settle?

They have been sued by many people and organizations. We don't have the local "media" who are County mouthpieces covering the real stories about County incompetence and cost to taxpayers.

You won't see Paul Rodrigues piping up about how many times the County has been sued or DHHS employee Sharon Wolff who is associated with the Rio Dell Times and with a personal agenda against Humboldt Superior Court chiming in about the state and other lawsuits against the County. Every person attacking Paz Dominguez either  works for the County or benefits from the County in some way or is married to and friends with someone in the County. The Humboldt cabal and their sycophants who don't want anyone questioning them or independent journalism.

The biggest conflict of interest in Humboldt is the County with their hands in media, marketing and private industry. The non profits, lawyers and the few Humboldt Connected use fear and weak people to make sure competence and competition for them does not exist.

The County, government and non profits all who feed off each other advertise and support those they control and those that cover what is convenient.

Richard Smith is a partner at Harland Law Firm. Allison Jackson partner at of the Harland Law is representing Harry Hardin in an administrative appeal. Hardin is the principal owner of White Circle Commerce, LLC and the former President of Eel River Disposal.

I did this post in 2014. The County never listens and has been sued by HumCPR, cannabis businesses and others because of their arrogance.

Post before update:

The date and meeting is listed on the county meeting but no agenda? Kathy Hayes is out of the office so I contacted both Nikki Turner and Brooke Eberhardt.

Brooke left me a voicemail at 10:28 and followed up with an email at 10:29. I appreciate Brooke's prompt response.

"Hi John this is Brooke returning your call from the board of supervisors office. You had left me a voicemail regarding the special meeting on Monday June 13. That agenda because it's a special meeting  doesn't need to be posted in the 72 hours. So we will publish that meeting agenda on Friday along with the other meeting agenda for Tuesday but if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to me."
