Besides celebrating milestones, these local businesses regularly give back to our community and youth

Humboldt Fence just celebrated 20 years of being in business. The photo is of their 20th anniversary celebration.

"We are extremely proud to support all of our youth in the community whether it be donations for sports, school activities or scholarships," said Russ Renner.

Scrapper's Edge has been in business for 18 years. That anniversary is on June 24th. I have known owner Sondra Kirtley since she started the business and in the original location on 5th and H. "Scrappers Edge regularly donates time, materials, and money  to youth and art-related causes," said Sondra.

Mantova's Two Street Music is celebrating 13 years of being in business this year. Mantova's is one of the 2022 sponsors and donated a PA system to Redwood Acres for the fair this week as well as a guitar as a prize to Jesus Rocks the Redwood. "Usually the guitar ends up going to a youth winner," said Anthony Mantova.

Many local businesses contribute to the community. I have written about a couple before like Leon's and Tina Mori. I reached out to these business owners and a few others. In addition to employing locals, I watch them regularly invest in Humboldt and show kindness to many without expecting anything in return.
