Arraignment for alleged child molestor Benjamin Pesch scheduled for 6/2 was continued to 6/15 so Pesch can hire Mr. Zach Curtis. Bail was set $25,000.
Pesch was arrested on May 31 on an arrest warrant for PC 288 (c) (1) lewd act upon a child. John Doe was 15 years old at the time.
Mr. Curtis has also made two special appearances for alleged molestor Fortuna High School teacher Gary Landergen.
Mr. Curtis has yet to be retained by either Landergen or Pesch. Landergen's arraignment was continued once. Now Pesch's arraignment is continued.
6/15: Pesch posted bail with cash. Mr. Curtis retained. Preliminary hearing is on 8/23.
8/23: Defense request to continue granted. Preliminary rescheduled for 10/14. Case likely to resolve.
10/4: By stipulation the preliminary hearing scheduled for 10/14 was continued to 12/15.
12/15: Preliminary continued by defense to 3/7/23.
