Subway has a new owner?

Heard from one local business manager about a month ago and then heard the same thing from another manager of another local business next to another Subway location in Eureka that there is new owner. There is work going on locations previously closed like the one on Myrtle. 

Eureka City Manager Miles Slattery told me, " I was contacted by the owner of the Subway franchises in northern California. He said that the local franchisee got out of the ownership of the local franchises and that he is working to analyze each location to determine which to maintain, close and potentially new locations. He did not say that he intends to continue to operate the local franchises or sell them to another franchisee."
