All of Humboldt knows about the Squires already, so why did you rent from them?

This post was put up on Craigslist two hours. All of Humboldt knows about the Squires already, your post does not address why you rented from them?That information would be helpful. 

They aren't the only slumlords in Humboldt but California's failure to address lack of affordable housing, California regulations that prevent more housing to be built and the moneyed interests that protect corrupt slumlords like the Squires are the problem. And an anonymous post on Craigslist is not going to address any of these issues.

There are a few decent residential and commercial landlords and their properties do not have a high turnover. This leaves most people at the mercy of corrupt, predatory slumlords and property management companies who  use the Humboldt dysfunction, corruption and weak agencies who ignore and don't enforce the law to their advantage. This is a national problem.
