Would have had an update if Judge Cockrum had turned the livestream on

Kailan Meserve had a hearing in his writ of habeas corpus case this morning. There was no livestream so all you get is dates. There is a pre trial on 1/19/ 21 and an evidentiary hearing on February 1 with a time estimate of five days.

This issue with the livestream has happened repeatedly in the last 10 months and often with a couple of Judges. It is very frustrating and adds to the workload of several people, including me.

Judge Cockrum forgot to turn on the livestream. Once again, I had to make efforts and contact people and get it fixed so I did not miss other cases. This has now happened several times with Judge Cockrum. All this is very challenging with no access to court records on the public computer or the second floor of the Courthouse.
