First, there is no livestream, then Judge Cockrum continues the Mark Dare sentencing

Sentencing and defense motion for a new trial for convicted molestor Mark Dare was scheduled this morning. The hearing was continued to December 4 by Judge Kaleb Cockrum.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for this case. Public Defender Marek Reavis is Dare's attorney.

Probation filed a report on November 13. Judge Cockrum did not get it until November 17. He wants more time. He also received some new letters and an addendum report from the defense right before he took the bench today.

Ms. Timm said she understands the Court needing more time. She said the victims were at the Courthouse today and they were "mentally and emotionally prepared" to proceed with sentencing. Ms. Timm commented on the continuance with no prior notice.

Once again, as the defense and Dare have done since the start of this case, delay tactics and complete disrespect for anyone else. Dare, like Chad Smith and other molestors, will drag and revictimize the victims because he and his attorney will work the system.

Almost missed this hearing because Judge Cockrum forgot to turn livestream on and the only reason I have any update is because I had to contact people to get this fixed.

In addition to missing another case on the 8:30 calendar, this impacts my covering other cases on at the same time and all this is very challenging with no access to court records or the second floor of the Courthouse. This has happened repeatedly with Judge Cockrum a lot. Some judges manage to have their livestream on without issues; mute if necessary.
