This is at least the third time livestream has been off in the same Courtroom, same Judge, same issue

It is over five months now and the first time this happened, it was trial assignment, then at least twice for the preliminary calendar call. Again today.

Every time it is Courtroom 2 and it has been Judge Kaleb Cockrum. It has varied who controls the livestream, the bailiffs but lately the Judge.

Each time, they have started proceedings. I have to call around and get tech or someone to tell them. I had to do stuff like this when courtrooms were open.

If you are not going to let media andpublic on the second floor, have access to court records, then get your act together about turning on the livestream and provide public and media access. Volume issues, livestream issues and no way to reach anyone. Judges have to be told to turn on their mics, some are consistently late. All this happened pre pandemic but for it to happen now is inexcusable. The disrespect towards attorneys, defendants, victims and the public is inexcusable.

What I want to know is where is the money provided to courts for remote proceedings going?

10:15 Judge Cockrum had to take care of tech issue for Ms. Christina Allbright. 10:17 still issues offline.

The hardest working people in the Courts are court tech, the court clerks and reporters. The hardest working people in the County are on the 4th floor of the Courthouse.

Maybe you could hire one of those whining court employees and one particular drug court supervisor who does more walking  around on the third floor or takes constant breaks every two minutes and whines about benches on the third floor than working. They could  push the livestream button where they are monitored to see how much time they spend working.

Some government employees work hard but we have a lot of government employees that are excusing COVID 19 as an excuse to do even less work but collect a paycheck.

Money and budgets have been further impacted during this pandemic. Time to trim that County and Court budget and pay those who work twice as much and fire the lazy ones.  You have a county and state where government employs a lot of people and the unions protect the lazy ones. Taxpayers dont need to pay people who dont know how to earn income and then slough off and have an attitude towards people paying their salary.

I came to this community energetic and positive 17 years ago. Despite being misled about a job and a living situation, I give my all and invest into this community.  17 years of constantly surviving due to the petty, unprofessional, negative, two faced, corrupt and generational ineptitude. I have watched decent, hardworking  people like me have our livelihoods and reputations falsely destroyed by people who can't handle the truth or competition.

COVID 19 has affected people disproptionately. The arrogant elected officials and lazy government officials wouldn't know because they keep collecting their paychecks expecting others to suffer for their callousness and mismanagement.
