Why was there no action taken by Jane Doe's #4 dad when she told him or follow up by EPD?

Jane Doe #4 is still testifying. Her direct testimony is over  cross examination will resume this afternoon.

Jane Doe #4 is 20 years old. She recalled three specific incidents out of a total 6 or 7 times that Andrew Cunningham allegedly touched her.

On direct, Jane Doe #4 , testified that she was alone in an office sitting on Cunningham's lap and "he proceeded to touch me in my genital area." She clarified "my vaginal area." She said the touching was Cunningham"rubbing with his fingers underneath the clothes." That incident ended when her grandmother Karen Draper (aka Karen Cuningham) came to pick her up.
Cunningham's two boys were at the house but not in the same room.

Two, other incidents, one at "8 or 9 years" old" in a park where other kids were not in the immediate vicinity and one when she was "12 or 13" happened during a family trip to Monterey. Other kids were in the same room, some on the same bed. Jane Doe #4 said Cunningham allegedly grabbed her butt both times.

Jane Doe #4 said Cunningham would babysit her and other kids. For 7 years after the last alleged incident, Jane Doe # 4 has lived in a duplex next to Cuningham.

She told her dad when she was 12 or 13 and said "he was very upset" but nothing happened. She told her ex boyfriend and her high school principsl when she was 16. The principal reported the incident and an EPD detective contacted her. She was at work at Subway, (owned by her grandmother) and couldn't talk at that time. According to her, the detective asked her if she had someone to talk to but there was no follow up.

In his cross examination  Mr.Michael Robinson, who represents  Jane Doe raised several questions about why her dad allowed her to go over to Cunningham's house even after she told him about the alleged molestation, why they moved right next to Cunningham even after the alleged molestation occured.

Deputy District Attorney  Carolyn Schaffer's redirect was brief.
