Trial setting was scheduled for Mexican citizen Hugo Parral-Aguirre this morning. It was continued to 1:30 when a court interpreter would be available.
Mr. Carlos Benemann translated for Aguirre this afternoon. Defense made a motion to continue the setting. District Attorney's office was "fine" with the request. Trial setting is scheduled for October 17.
The reason for the continuance was an expert report. That report will be ready early October or early November.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees appeared for Deputy DA Josh Rosenfeld. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell is representing Aguirre.
