Former Miss Hoopa's jury trial a go for next week, if a courtroom is available

Jury trial for former Miss Hoopa Kayla Brown scheduled to start September 4 is trailing another court case and has been assigned to Courtroom 3. Date changed to September 5.

Brown is charged with  four counts of alleged sexual abuse including abnormal sexual interest in children. The alleged victim is a female and was a minor when the alleged conduct took placem
This court system screen lists 6 counts, the actual document, the information filed has four counts. I just brought this to the attention of both attorneys. They both confirmed that the arraignment on information  document is correct.

The complaint filed at arraignment also had four counts.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is representing Brown.
