On Monday, August 20,at a special set time of 3:30 p.m. Marci Kitchen is scheduled for her to enter a change of plea. She is expected to plead guilty to all charges. The case was moved from Courtroom 2 to Courtroom 3.
Count 1 is vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence while being intoxicated (Jane Doe 1) ; Count 1 has two special allegations: fleeing the crime scene and multiple victims.
Count 2 is vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence while being intoxicated
(Jane Doe 2)
Count 3 is DUI; Alcohol while causing injury with two special allegations: great bodily injury resulting in brain injury and paralysis and multiple victims.
Count 4 is Hit and Run with Injury/Death.
The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads. Marci Kitchen is being represented by Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell.
