Yesterday, Humboldt CalPoly Police arrested a "person of concern" identified as Tino. The moment I heard that nickname, I wondered if it was someone I have previously reported about on the blog. I have reached out to the university police department as well as Humboldt CalPoly Assistant Chief Lt. Peter Cress and he confirmed that the suspect is 47 year old Faustino Bravotapia.
On the jail log, Chief Cress is listed as the arresting officer for Bravotapia for three counts of PC 653x(a) contacting 911 with the intent to annoy and harass someone, PC 236 false imprisonment, PC 602(o) trespassing, PC 647 f) public intoxication, and PC 602(m) trespassing. The time of the arrest and booking matches the update released to media yesterday evening.
Bravotapia was was arrested by Eureka Police Department on November 12, 2022 for PC 653 x (a) contacting 911 with the intent to annoy and harass someone.
11/14/22: Arrested again by EPD for PC 602(o) trespassing and PC 653 x (a) contacting 911 with the intent to annoy and harass someone.
11/22/22: Arrested today by Arcata Police Department for PC 602 (m) trespassing.
9/25: Court granted supervised release and as of today Bravotapia is no longer in custody.
