Samantha Maria Luna was arrested by HCSO at 2:47 a.m today for HS 11350 possession of a controlled substance, VC 23152 (a) DUI and VC23152(b), blood alcohol over the legal limit.
This Samantha Luna has a different middle name than the other Samantha Luna who made the headlines after being arrested in Arcata. She has one conviction in a 2022 case for speeding.
10/23: Luna was arraigned. DA has charged her with three counts and a special allegation. Conflict Counsel appointed. Trial confirmation is on 2/13/24; jury trial on 3/4/24.
2/13/24: At trial confirmation, she resolved her case. Luna pleaded guilty to Count 1. Counts 2 and 3 were dismissed. She was sentenced to 3 years probation with credit for 1 day in jail as time served. The
3/4/date was vacated.
