A customer with a Kohl's card received an email that the store is liquidating and closing the Eureka store. There have been several articles citing declining sales and end of property leases, specifically mentioning Kohl's since last year. I have contacted Kohl's corporate media contact to see if this is legit.
I want to thank one particular reader for their respectful email. There was a lot of interest and I have heard from a few readers. I appreciate that some readers took the time to contact the local store but I don't report via proxy. If an update is necessary, it will be added to this post.
CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid closing hundreds of stores and considering bankruptcy or liquidation due to opioid related lawsuits. Lot of other local news to cover and post today but a google search will bring up several articles.
