Molestor Darell Tatro resolved his case before trial pleading to two out of three felonies. Tatro pleaded guilty to distributing or showing porn to a minor and meeting a minor for lewd purposes. Tatro entered his plea on 9/8 which was trial assignment.
Tatro was charged with three felonies. Count 1 PC 288 (a) (2) distributing or showing porn to a minor; Count 2 is PC 288.3 (a) contact with minor for sexual offense and Count 3 PC 288.4 (b) meeting minor for lewd purposes.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy Public Defender David Celli is Tatro's attorney. Sentencing is on October 4.
Tatro was held to answer on all three counts after his preliminary hearing. Given the evidence against him, if he had gone to trial with Ms. Timm prosecuting, he would be convicted of all three charges and faced a harsher sentence.
Tatro and his attorney should have resolved this case earlier instead of wasting months of court time and resources.
