Mr. Ben Okin filed a motion to continue hit and run suspect Jose Guzman Jimenez's preliminary hearing scheduled for tomorrow. The motion was granted by Judge Kelly Neel despite objection by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees. Preliminary hearing was rescheduled for October 3.
9/28: Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees and Mr. Ben Okin met with Judge Kelly Neel for intervention. The preliminary hearing scheduled for 10/3 was vacated. Setting of preliminary on 10/23.
10/23: Pre trial on 11/16; jury trial on 12/13.
11/16: Was also on for possible change of plea. Another case where People file disqualification for Judge Kelly Neel. 12/13 preliminary hearing vacated for 12/13; instead setting of preliminary hearing scheduled.
