Primal decor tattoo artist Daniel Forrest Rena Dozier was arrested by HCSO on April 8, booked on a no bail status for PC 187 (a) murder, PC 23900 altering a forearm and PC 33410 possession of a silencer. Dozier was arrested in McKinleyville. The homicide victim is Dozier's former partner Mia Felder.
The DA has charged Dozier with PC 192 (a) voluntary manslaughter, PC 33410 possession of a silencer and PC 23920 altering a firearm. The complaint was amended later to include a special allegation for Count 1 PC 12022.5 (a), that a firearm was used in the commission of the crime; a Glock. These are charges are for the amended complaint filed on 4/12.
Dozier's bail was changed to $270,000 by Judge Steven Steward. Next court date is OR/bail on 4/11. Preliminary hearing is on 5/25. Dozier has retained Ms. Andrea Sullivan.

Charges at booking are not always the ones filed in the complaint by the DA. After the DA receives a report from law enforcement, they make a determination on what charges to file. As investigation continues, charges can be amended.
4/14: OR/bail hearing continued to 4/17. Victim's mother Gloria Felder present, addresses court, victim's father also present in court on 4/17. OR/supervised release denied.
