Rex why is the company you promote so much suing the County?

On this Tuesday, April 25 Board of Supervisor's meeting, under closed session, the 2022 lawsuit filed by Mercer Fraser Company against the County of Humboldt is listed. I have been checking on the status of that case and there has been nothing significant happening except the case being dragged out at cost to the taxpayers.

In the screenshot of the post above I wrote that Mercer Fraser and Travis Schneider have a lot of cases in Humboldt Superior Court and other points.

There never seems to be any loss or retaliation to these or certain businesses for suing the County. There never seems to be any backlash to certain other local media when they report on the Humboldt Connected. How much are these lawsuits costing the taxpayers in legal costs and staff time, a question consistently brought up by me, ignored by the County and ignored by most of the local media. Rex is very chummy with Travis Schneider and Mercer Fraser. Rex is constantly promoting certain businesses on his Facebook page about how much they do. Is suing the County part of that goodwill? He can't talk his buddies into not suing the County?

I have been checking on the writ of mandate and on 11/20/22 and 12/30/22, there same stipulation to extend time. No future date after 2/10/23 order after Mercer Fraser asked to extend time to file responsive pleadings. Same thing 3/9/23. There was no no future date listed as of 3/30/23. I don't have time to waste at all, especially not on these writ cases and most civil cases where nothing happens for month. Either the County will settle or they will do what the writ requires. Just google my reporting on Travis Schneider and City of Eureka or just type in writ of mandate.
