When you can't afford an attorney and are at the mercy of who Humboldt Superior Court appoints, you are playing roulette

Jacob Jordan Fisher was arrested by Eureka Police Department on September 10 for PC 69 resisting arrest. Fisher was arraigned on that charge. Other counts pertain to his co-defendants.

Fisher was arrested for obstructing and interfering with police while they investigated an incident that occurred at a bar on the 200 block of 1st street.

Timothy Gray is Fisher's third court appointed attorney. Unfortunately, when you can't afford an attorney and are at the mercy of who Humboldt Superior Court appoints, you are playing roulette.

So far, all Gray has done is fail twice at a Pitchess motion. Judge Joyce Hinrichs denied it on 3/1 and second motion on 4/13 both times for issues with the motions. County Counsel opposed the motion both times. DA joined in the request for the second Pitchess motion.

A Pitchess motion is a defendant's request for information in a law enforcement officer's records. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for 5/9.

Fisher is former correctional deputy and convicted molestor Cory Fisher's son. The damage that Cory Fisher did to his own children continues to impact them even though Cory Fisher is in prison.

5/9: Held to answer after preliminary hearing. Arraignment on information on 5/25.
