Alleged statutory rapist Thomas Gowing was charged with 14 counts of PC 261.5 (c) unlawful sexual intercourse with Jane Doe, a minor. Gowing is a former Eureka High School employee and volunteer.
Preliminary hearing had been continued to April 11. Gowing resolved his case today by pleading guilty to four counts with 3 of those counts reduced to misdemeanors, the rest of the charges were dismissed. Sentencing is on May 9.
