Four Jane Does, all minors are alleged victims of Daniel Lloyd Sanchez who is charged with 17 counts including forcible rape, aggravated sexual assault of a minor, rape of a conscious victim and lewd acts with a minor.
Sanchez was arrested in May 2021 by Rio Dell Police Department for PC289(d) forcible penetration with a foreign object, PC261.5(d) statutory rape, PC288(c)(1) lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 with the defendant being at least 10 years older, PC288.5(a) continuous sexual abuse of a child and PC288(a) lewd or lascivious act with a minor child under 14.
During a search of his residence, RDPD found a photo montage was located that contained pictures of approximately 20 girls and young women. At that time, RDPD had said there maybe additional victims.
Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Sanchez's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor.
Ms. Timm is currently in trial on one case and she starts another trial next week. DA Eads appeared on the case for trial assignment. Ms. Sullivan told Judge Joyce Hinrichs she recently received voluminous discovery. There are two other child porn allegations against her client but no charges have been filed. Jury trial for May 1 was vacated. Trial setting is on May 16.
Sanchez requested two Marsden motions both were denied. He also rejected the DA's offer of 55 years on December 8, 2022.
5/16: Trial confirmation is 7/12; jury trial 8/21.
7/12: Trial confirmed. Deputy DA Whitney Timm is currently in another trial. Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Sanchez's attorney. Time estimate is 6 weeks. Trial assignment on 8/18; jury trial on 8/21.
8/18: At trial assignment, Sanchez had yet another Mardsen motion denied. This time by Judge Steven Steward. The 8/21 date was vacated. Jury trial and motion in limine scheduled for 8/23.
