Tanya Brooks was arrested on October 20 by DA Investigator Ryan Hill for PC 664/269 (a) (1), aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Brooks was arraigned today. The DA has filed a complaint under one of her akas Tanya Comer. She is charged with PC 273 (a) (a), child abuse or willful child endangerment likely to cause great bodily injury.
10/26: OR/bail continued at defense request to 11/7 which is the same day the preliminary hearing is scheduled. Criminal protective order served.
11/7: OR/bail and preliminary continued to 11/9 for OR +setting of preliminary. Discussion about housing, medical needs and discovery regarding CAST interview.
11/9: Supervised release granted by Retired Judge John Feeney. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 12/15. Brooks aka Comer ordered to contact mental health and take medication.
12/15: Preliminary hearing continued by stipulation to 12/21. DA motion to continue granted due to new discovery and necessary witness availability; defense joins in motion.
