Brett Watson hires San Francisco attorney

A hearing is scheduled on November 4 to address the temporary restraining order filed by the City of Arcata against Councilmember Brett Watson.

At that hearing, Judge Timothy Canning will decide if the restraining order against Watson will be a permanent one or if the TRO will be dismissed.

Watson gets to present his side  if he choses. Watson has filed a response to the TRO. I will some documents later.

I briefly spoke with Councilmember Watson. He is being represented by San Francisco attorney, Jay Jambeck. Today is the Arcata City Council meeting but Watson took my call.

I will be posting on the November 4 hearing and may do an update on the TRO before that hearing.

It is interesting to note that the TRO was filed exactly a day after Councilmember Watson's October 4 response to the City's investigative report. Read Watson's statement and press release at www.brettwatson.org
