Fernandez has a reasonable explaination, still waiting on why Kohl 460 is MIA

I checked the City of Eureka website for Campaign FPPC statements and contacted Eureka Assistant City Manager Pam Powell shortly after 5 p.m. the deadline for the latest 460 forms. I specifically asked about Nicholas Kohl and Mario Fernandez.

"I haven't received anything,"  responded Ms. Powell. She wasn't sure if that was because they did not raise over $2,000, "which is the threshold for submitting a 460."

I have contacted both Kohl and Fernandez.

At 8:39 p.m., I heard from Fernandez.

"Hi John,

My best attempt was not enough today. Between preparing for a school board meeting and work I thought I had until 4:30p.

Turns out I was late. In any case, I'll have the forms delivered first thing tomorrow morning.

Take Care,

G Mario Fernandez"

10:52 update on October 28: Ms. Powell confirmed Fernandez dropped up the 460 and it has been uploaded on the website.

At 9:52 p.m. Kohl responded,"have not raise over 2000.  We received our campaign number late from the state and have been catching up on the process."

In yesterday's post, I mentioned John Fullerton and Renee Contreras Deloach had already filed the 460s due today.

For Clerk, Recorder Registrar, both Juan Pablo Cervantes and Tiffany Hunt Nielsen submitted their 460s. Once again, Cervantes has donations from regular people with two noteworthy donations from Senator Mike McGuire and Third District Supervisor Mike Wilson. Nielsen 460s continue the trend of the good ole boys, realtors and attorneys with a donation from Debbie Provolt and another donation from Chet Albin.
