Convicted sex offender Robert Munts was held to answer after his October 10 preliminary hearing in the latest case filed against him in September. The charge is transient sex offender failure to register with priors for the same crime.
He has two other open cases; from August 15 and 26 arrests. Conflict Counsel has filed a motion to dismiss in the case from his August 26 arrest. That motion is scheduled for October 24. In this case, Munts allegedly threatened a St. Bernard's employee and allegedly was under the influence of meth.
The defendant's name is incorrect in court minutes but the charge and case number are Munts. This is the case
I have informed Humboldt Superior Court's Operation Manager Kelly Nyberg. Typos happen. The court clerks are overworked in a overburdened system. This particular clerk is experienced but the mistake needs to be corrected.

Aug 26 arrest case: 10/24 defense motion to dismiss; 11/1 trial confirmation and 11/14 jury trial.
August 15 arrest case: 11/1 pre trial and 11/14 pre trial
New case filed on 9/28: Pre trial scheduled on 11/1 and 11/14.
