Rex, only 4 comments and wonder why LOCO ignored this?

Lost Coast Outpost can barely keep up with posting anything, even press releases on their website and they don't post everything on Facebook. Their last "article" on the Auditor Controller was not on Facebook and the only few comments on the site were anons with a clear agenda. Maybe LOCO ignored this because their daily regurgitating of the County's talking points and your personal agenda against Humboldt Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez is backfiring.

LOCO or other media either have no clue or conveniently forgot to mention that most of the people standing behind Cheryl Dillingham at her kickoff besides you and former Supervisor Mark Lovelace were people like Mychal Evenson who works for DHHS and someone you heavily promoted before Dillingham stepped in as a candidate.  Regina Fuller standing right next to you is friends with Humboldt Sheriff William Honsal and works for HCSO handling grants and funds.

Look at the department heads signing this letter. John Ford I don't even have to go into numerous examples; Patrick McTigue alone suffices.  Luke Brownfield is currently facing a lawsuit with serious allegations involving a Humboldt Superior Court Judge, Maggie Fleming is retiring, Mari Wilson is retiring and is barely ever seen at the Courthouse or near her office, Shaun Brenneman who should never have been made department head because there were more qualified choices and Connie Beck whose department was sued by the State and leads a department with major issues that none of the Supervisors address because it is a cash cow for state and federal funds. Still waiting for you to say who your gentleman friends are, Rex and why they should get preference over others waiting for checks. Still waiting to hear why DHHS did nothing about reports of alleged fraud reported by a reader to me that was sent to DHHS.

All the people criticizing Paz Dominguez should be required to state their name; no anonymous smears and state whether they work for the county, are a vendor or are related to anyone or contract with an organization that gets County funds. Whether it is an independent Auditor Controller or independent media or any outsider challenging the status quo, it pisses off the good ole boys and gals. Do the job you get paid for Rex because your job is not to spend hours campaigning against someone who won't rubber stamp funds the Humboldt way.

Paz Dominguez is not perfect but Rex if you are so concerned about work environment and department heads, why aren't there exit interviews conducted? Why did employees have to sign confidential agreements preventing them to talk which means I can't get information that contradicts the bs your department heads are spewing at the BOS meetings regularly in this crusade against the current Auditor Controller?

Have your boy Sean Quincey do a press release to all media with numbers of how many employees have left in each department head that signed this letter in the last 10 years. I don't have time to do a PRA and play the County games with media requests. I will make it easier, how many employees left HCSO, the Building and Planning Department,the Assesors Office and DHHS for the last 10  years?

Kym Kemp supposedly is the source for SoHum news. She should be covering Michelle Bushnell and the complaint the planner filed against Bushnell and asking questions about cannabis revenue and HCSO funds instead of covering every election kickoff in Eureka, printing Mendocino and Trinity press releases. If time is the issue then prioritize what you cover.

Kym has freelancers, she has a job, a husband who works for CalTrans, she and her family are in the cannabis business. LOCO is a part of a larger local media monopoly, with access to a lot of local money and resources. Yet, Kym makes excuses when challenged  about what she covers citing time and labor and LOCO and Kym whine about money.  I do my own sales, work to make this blog possible. Compare my daily, original output to other local media. 

I do this despite constant challenges and distractions to prevent me from working and getting the funds I need and deserve because that is the Humboldt way. They can't shut you up but they will use the incestuous business and political local cabal to destroy you financially and personally because weak, selfish people allow corruption and abuse of power to flourish.

Why did I have to be the one to give Tammy Farmer a chance to present her side? George Brightman is a good ole boy rancher here for decades. Did that influence how HCSO and DA handled this case and Kym Kemp's coverage?

There is way too much selective coverage from certain local media. The same few LOCO, Kym Kemp, KAEF, NCJ trolls and groupies with the same lame comments for over a decade can whine and attack me all they want but they are just deflecting and covering for inept  selective coverage that isn't journalism. Their childish junior high insults never refute or change facts.

Most local media is primarily a bunch of people who get funded the cabal and sycophants who like "media" who ignore what is inconvenient about the Humboldt Connected. The same locals sing  praises about certain media, businesses and politicians because they are all parasitic and benefit from the status quo and prefer media who feed their delusions about Humboldt and stroke their egos. 

Anon opinions online are worthless. Those who use their names aren't neccessarily better. I don't have the time to get into background and/or court records of the people who live on local Facebook pages and the regulars on LOCO and Kym Kemp. I could care less about what some stranger or someone who doesn't know people personally or is family or friend of someone with an agenda who has been exposed or the two faced backstabbbers think about anything or me. If you are from Humboldt and don't like me, especially since I started this blog, that is a badge of honor.

There are tons of people who feel the way I do and many who contact me because other local media won't touch certain news tips because it is inconvenient financially and they rather be "popular." It is not my job to be Humboldt's savior or advocate because you have others slacking and not doing their job from business leaders to government to "media."

KAEF you have a catchy slogan. Yet, you do no hard hitting news. Are you asking the tough questions? PR interviews with the Sheriff and Superviors is not holding them accountable. 

When owners and publishers of local media do selective coverage, they do a disservice to the public. If you support them by reading, viewing them or financially, you are an enabler.

Instead of supporting local media that is independent, we have locals with money and an agenda funding jokes like the Humbolt Freedom Coalition. I also know who is the money behind and trying to revive the failed, anonymous Humboldt Consequential.
