Former Humboldt County Building and Planning Department employee Patrick McTigue entered a plea on August 13. He is scheduled to be sentenced this morning.
Sentencing was continued to October 18 because McTigue didn’t have the probation report for the required 5 days. Defense requested the continuance. It was granted by Judge Kaleb Cockrum since there was no objection by the People.
Mctigue pleaded guilty to one count of PC 68 - Accepting a Bribe as a felony and two counts of PC 487 Grand theft. He was guaranteed probation but jail time was open, up to 365 days.. The rest of the charges were dismissed with a Harvery for restitution.
Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward is the prosecutor. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is McTigue's attorney.
