Reports of a "shaggy cow" near Jacoby Creek turned out to be a yak


Yak duty is just one of those ""extra perks of working for HCSO. Deputy Stallworth had just ordered breakfast at the Smokestack Cafe in the courthouse when he got the call.  Hope the reporting party at least offered him coffee.

    Remember those wacko hippies parading around their yaks on Arcata's plaza years ago? Maybe this little soul managed to escape their animal perversion.
    Now maybe its a longhorn growing long hair for the global cooling!!!
