Local attorney Ken Bareilles' resolves his misdemeanor case

Change of plea was scheduled this morning for local attorney Ken Bareilles' misdemeanor case.

A no contest plea to Count 1, littering within 150 feet of State Waters, was entered by Bareilles. Count 2, Deposit or place a hazardous substance near or in the water ways of this State, was dismissed.

A deferred entry of judgement was entered by Bareilles. Next court date is July 9, 2020.

As mentioned in my previous post, one condition of the plea was to "remediate the site."

Bareilles was "pro per." Deputy District Attorney Tobias Hasler was the prosecutor on this case.
