Six hours ago, former KAEF news director Scott Rates posted on Facebook. "As of today I no longer work at North Coast News. "
He has not mentioned, yet, anything about future plans. Twice on his Facebook page, he has said he will make an announcement soon.
This is the second, unexpected departure in the last month for KRCR and KAEF stations. KRCR news director Jennifer Scarborough left last month. In Scarborough's case, the announcement was not sudden or cryptic.
I don't know if I will get a comment from HR but I did contact them.
