Ironically, homicide suspect Jason Barnes had a trial confirmation scheduled today for one of his two 2019 cases. Jury for that trial is scheduled for July 22. The homicide charge makes it three cases in 2019.
Barnes has at least 10 priors in the system before this homicide arrest. Charges for his other cases vary from battery, assault, drugs to vandalism. Several no contest pleas and being placed on probation.
