26,000 pounds of cocaine seized by U. S. Coast Guard despite smugglers trying to dump it into waters of Southern California
Yesterday, the crew of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast offloaded more than 26,000 pounds of cocaine worth more than $350 million.
Aerial footage released by the U. S. Coast Guard showed the smugglers dumping bags of cocaine into the waters of Southern California while attempting to flee from the officers pursuing them.
The Steadfast conducted five high seas interdictions between late June and mid-July.
